How to use
The EC-1A-RS is a single-phase current data logger that needs its flexible Rogowski coil connected to your incoming supply. Setup the Logger using the Electrosoft software, then fit it to the distribution board or other point that you're going to measure.
What you get:-
12Vdc Power Supply
This logger is designed to be installed by a competent person (generally an electrician or engineer), and the Rogowski coil can be fitted without power interruption. Once you're set up, just press the Start button to start logging. The indicator will flash Green when logging.
When the logger's finished recording (or you've captured enough data!) just disconnect from supply, hook it up to your PC and download the information. Electrosoft will let you view the data immediately on-screen and save or export for later analysis.
The EC-1A-RS is used to determine feeder loading and mainly used by power distribution companies, heavy industry, facilities management, electrical or site services and maintenance engineers to monitor loading variations on site helping them to diagnose any related issues, transformer and feeder sizing problems. Perfect for gathering data to make a case for splitting-up the loading or increasing circuit capacity.
The NEW EC-1A-RS model is designed for large loads from 0.5A to 3kA, if you require higher inputs, 5kA or 10kA, please let us know. The Rogowski Coil fits around cables of 140mm diameter or less. Note, the Rogowski Coil breaks open at the black joint, allowing them to be placed around the cables without having to break the main circuit.
The new Range Select button allows you to choose between two measurement ranges 4A to 400A or 20A to 3kA per phase.
The EC-1A-RS uses USB communications. For lower currents between 0.5A and 400A we recommend the new dual range CT-3A-RS which uses traditional clamp-on current transformers (CT's) and has a maximum input of 400A per channel, making it accurate at lower currents, suitable for domestic and light commercial logging. For higher industrial loads between 400A and 3kA we recommend the EC-7VAR-RS Power Logger.
The advantage of the Electrocorder products over most others is that our data loggers constantly sample information (recording the Min, Max and Average) over the set period, many other products only take 'snap shots' of what is going on and can miss 99.9% of the data that is critical to your analysis.
Set includes data logger, Rogoswski Coil, USB lead, Electrosoft software and a carry case.
