Overview
The Electrocorder SL-3V is a compact three-phase voltage recorder for supply voltage monitoring, voltage optimisation checks and long-term voltage investigations where a smaller logger is preferred.
Use it when you need three-phase voltage logging in a smaller enclosure. The SL-3V uses four voltage leads for L1, L2, L3 and neutral and can be used on 400 V three-phase systems or on single-phase systems where appropriate.
Best for:
- Compact three-phase voltage monitoring.
- Voltage optimisation checks and before/after comparisons.
- Long-term supply-voltage investigations.
- Sites where a smaller voltage recorder is useful.
- Voltage-only studies where current and power factor are not required.
Consider another model if:
- You need the larger standard three-phase voltage recorder, where the EC-3V may be preferred.
- You need voltage and current together, where the EC-7VAR-RS may be a better fit.
- You only need simple single-phase monitoring, where an EC-1V or EC-2V may be simpler.
What you get:
- SL-3V compact logger.
- Four voltage leads for L1, L2, L3 and neutral.
- USB download lead, carry case, batteries, user instructions and free Electrosoft analysis software.
Set up the logger in Electrosoft, install it at the measurement point, then start recording. When enough data has been captured, connect the logger to a PC by USB and use Electrosoft to view, save, export and report on the results.
Applications
Typical applications: The SL-3V is intended for compact voltage-only investigations. It provides much of the practical value of a three-phase voltage recorder where a smaller physical logger is useful.
What the SL-3V records:
- Three-phase voltage using four voltage leads.
- TRMS average, minimum and maximum values across the selected averaging period.
- Voltage trends, dips, rises and supply variation over time.
- Long-term evidence for voltage monitoring and optimisation checks.
Why constant sampling matters: many instruments only take periodic snapshots. The Electrocorder continuously samples throughout the averaging period, helping capture short events, changing loads and trend data that can otherwise be missed.
Recording duration depends on the selected averaging period and battery capacity. The compact form factor is useful for many monitoring jobs, while the EC-3V may be preferred where the larger model's battery life or format is more appropriate.
The SL-3V is supplied with voltage leads, USB lead, carry case, batteries, user instructions and Electrosoft software. It should be installed by a competent person, generally an electrician or engineer.

Features
When to choose the SL-3V
Choose this model when you need a compact dedicated voltage recorder for three-phase voltage investigations.
Compare with related Electrocorder models
If you prefer the larger standard three-phase voltage recorder, consider the EC-3V. If the investigation needs current, power and power factor as well as voltage, consider the EC-7VAR-RS.
Key features:
- Compact three-phase voltage recorder.
- Four voltage leads for L1, L2, L3 and neutral.
- Can be used on 400 V three-phase systems and selected single-phase applications.
- Configurable averaging period for short investigations or longer-term monitoring.
- Constant sampling to reduce the risk of missing short-duration voltage events.
- Tamper-resistant setup after configuration in Electrosoft.
Measurement note
The SL-3V is a voltage recorder. It does not measure current, power or power factor. Use the EC-7VAR-RS where those values are required.

FAQ
When should I choose the SL-3V?
Choose it when you need compact three-phase voltage monitoring and do not need current or power-factor data.
What is the difference between SL-3V and EC-3V?
Both are three-phase voltage recorders. The SL-3V is the compact model, while the EC-3V is the larger standard model.
Can it be used on single-phase systems?
Yes, it can be used on selected single-phase systems as well as 400 V three-phase systems, depending on the measurement requirement.
Can it help with voltage optimisation?
Yes. Recorded voltage data can help compare supply voltage before and after optimisation and provide evidence for further decisions.
What software is used to analyse the data?
Electrosoft PC software is used to configure the logger, download recorded data, view graphs, export data and create reports.
